In recent DC Comics news, it has been reporter that veteran actor, voice artist and film producer Tony Todd has been cast to voice the main antagonist in the second season of The Flash, Zoom!

For those who may not know of Todd’s actor background, Todd has appeared in films such as horror flick Night of the Living Dead, Candyman and in the Final Destination franchise.

But not only has Todd been portrayed in films, he’s also appeared in television shows such as the original 21 Jump Street show of the late-1980’s, MacGyver, Beverly Hills/90210, Stark Trek: Voyager/Deep Space Nine and our own show, Smallville!

Tony-Todd

Todd has been in the business for many, many decades already and made his transition to voice acting soon after he began his television career.

He’s voiced characters such as Astaroth in Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Dreadwing in Transformers: Prime, Icon in Young Justice and now he can add the accolade of Zoom, also known as Hunter Zolomon, in the upcoming season of The Flash!

Zoom is the third, that’s right, third, of the Reverse Flashes to appear in the Flash universes and is the primary villain of the Wally West version of the Flash.

And after confirmation that Wally West will make an appearance in the upcoming season of The Flash, there’s a great chance that we’ll see Wally go head-to-head with his main nemesis, Zoom!

One of the main differences we see in this version of Zoom is that instead of being displayed running with his traditional yellow and red suit, he’s portrayed as a blue streak.

Will this new Professor Zoom prove to be a more powerful, faster villain than his original counterpart in Eobard Thawne? Did the rupture in the timeline have more of an effect on the present than the Flash realizes?

The Flash returns with an exciting, new season next month on SFL-TV, the CW!
