Senior dogs lost from their family need a new home

This is an archived article and the information in the article may be outdated. Please look at the time stamp on the story to see when it was last updated.

Blue, 6 and Leila, 8 were found lost together on Halloween. Lisa Mendheim at Broward County Animal Care and Adoption believes the two are from the same family. Nobody has claimed either dog since they were rescued. Now, they are looking for new homes! They do not necessarily have to be adopted together, though. Senior dogs are often overlooked at animal shelters, but as Lisa explains there are many benefits to adopting an older pet!

If you want to adopt Blue, Leila or any of the animals you see below, visit the shelter at 1870 SW 39th Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315-3595.
