SALT LAKE CITY, UT - Although many dads have no idea how to handle a woman in labor, one Utah police officer knew exactly what to do.
Travis Clark gives credit to his police training; "You know, we train under high stress and it was just one of those things that training kicked in and it was kind of natural."
There was nothing routine about this 911 call. Clark was radioing in help for his own wife while he was forced to use his patrol car as a delivery room.
As the clock ticked instincts Clark's instinct's kicked in "I kinda caught baby and flipped her over and got her to start breathing."
Clark's hesitant wife knew that for her baby's safety, she had to let her husband take over, " ... beginning, I was like no! I wanna go to hospital".
And just like that Baby Bexley was born, laying on her mother's chest as the ambulance arrived.
It all happened so fast for the police officer. "It didn't really hit me until I was driving behind the ambulance in my patrol car . . . I was like holy cow that just happened".
An unforgettable moment no doubt . . . .
"Of everything I've ever been through in my entire life this is probably my craziest, scariest, and most coolest thing I've ever been a part of," says Clark.
