JAPAN — What's the best thing to come out of Japan since Pokémon? Research  suggests we should only be working three days a week and not five!

Japanese analysts studied the work habits of 6,500 Australian men and women over the age of 40. The Aussies worked a wide range of hours and then took cognitive tests to measure productivity. It turned out people who work on 25 hours a week scored highest.

The data suggests that working stimulates the brain but only for a little while.

In the study, the brain experience fatigue when working more than 25 hours, which resulted in lower test scores.

Worker bees who put in a full 40 hours score lower, but wage slaves who put in 55 hours or more see the biggest drop in productivity.

Do you think it's plausible for U.S. employees to work only three day a week?
