OAK BLUFFS, Massachusetts - As if having your home broken into isn't bad enough, imagine the shock of finding the family pet has been vandalized!

Police arrested Felix Reagan in Martha's Vineyard over the weekend. Reagan's accused of breaking into a home, stealing a car, and....get this, painting the dog!

When the homeowner returned home, Tamara Gemme-Crawford found her 4-month-old Border Collie out of his crate and covered in purple paint.

The cops went after Reagan after reports of a car crash. Eyewitnesses saw him running from the stolen car. He was disheveled and covered in purple paint, just like Grayson the pup.  Reagan had stolen credit cards and prescription drugs on him, too.

This is not Reagan's first run-in with the law. He was collared in June for a similar break-in. But this time, he can add animal cruelty to the list of charges.

Now Reagan is in a crate, of sorts .......while Grayson roams free. Fortunately, the paint didn't hurt the pooch.
