ROSHARON, TX - It's an event that's taking cancer fund raising to new heights.....literally!

It's called Jump for the Rose.

People pay to skydive while collecting money for The Rose, Houston`s largest non-profit breast cancer center.

Jump for the Rose was founded by Marian Sparks, a breast cancer survivor, who credits The Rose for saving her life when she was out of options.

"When the doctor told me I had breast cancer, I said 'what am I going to do? I don't have any insurance', she said don't worry I got you covered. Those words were so beautiful”, remembers Marian.

Skydivers Over Sixty (S.O.S) , a skydiving group of people in their golden years, came together to support the charity, as well as break a skydiving world record for most people over sixty in a skydiving formation.

"We were invited to participate in an S.O.S. sequential world record, and I'm glad to say that yesterday we got that record", says Rick Thues, one of the members of the record breaking team.

Talk about living life the fullest!

"I think what this is about is whether you value the quality of your life, the experiences you have, that their rich and they have substance, and they're things that you want to remember when you get older, like I am", says S.O.S. member Jeff McVey.

This is the seventh Jump or the Rose event, and they've raised over one hundred thousand dollars in the fight against cancer.

Now that's something to jump for.
