Hello my Legends Legionaries! It’s Richard from Zeus Comics.

Our Legends are back in 1942 trying to foil a Nazi plot, when they run into the the Justice Society of America.

A common super-hero cliche is when super-heroes meet for the first time, they throw punches first and ask questions later – and boy oh boy do the Legends and the JSA go head to head!

It was particularly amazing to see Obsidians’ shade powers come to life.

Ultimately, they team-up and stop the Nazis from getting a super soldier serum, but modern Time Detective Dr. Nate Haywood is mortally injured in the battle.

Fortunately Ray Palmer had modified a sample of the serum and is able to use that to save Nate.

Based on the promos it looks like Dr. Nate will become is comic counter part, Citizen Steel, grandson to Commander Steel in the next episode.

We also discover why this episode’s villain, the Reverse Flash, is in the 40s trying to alter history by working with the Nazis.

He’s after an ancient Egyptian artifact, the Askaran Amulet!

While it’s not mentioned in the show the Askaran amulet has a connection to the DC heroine Isis!

Lots of DC characters have ties to ancient Egypt including Vandal Savage, Carter Hall and Kendra Saunders the Hawks and now possibly Isis?

And maybe we should be looking for another classic JSA character, Dr. Fate?

And in a heartbreaking last scene Reverse Flash kills JSA member, Rex Hunter – Hourman.

Is this how 1940s Vixen ends up joining out cast of time traveling Legends?

We’ll find out in Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 Episode 3… Shogun!
