Mr. Worldwide is making headlines in South Florida. Well, are we surprised? Pitbull launched his new restaurant in Miami Beach, right on Ocean Drive.

"I'm blessed to have this opportunity to be an ambassador for ilov305. I remember the days they wouldn't let me on Ocean Drive, so to have a restaurant on 11th and Ocean and to be able to come and enjoy it, and to help create a slogan, which is 'Whatever happened in iLov305 never happened'. It's convenient amnesia at it's finest, and I'd love for you guys to enjoy it and indulge in it," said Rapper and Restauranteur, Pitbull.

iLov305 is 9,000 square feet with seating inside and outside, the menu features American comfort food and tropical Latin cuisine with a Miami flair.

"For me, my favorite plate is 'fricase de pollo' we of course had to have that there but it's a bit of of everything which is exactly what Miami is," said Pitbull.

"Anything that has to do with Miami inspires me because if it wasn't for Miami I wouldn't be bottom line so everything that has to do with the city's DNA and  blueprint being that is a melting pot with so many different cultures and everybody here is fighting for freedom literally one way or another. To me, that's what inspires me all the time so anytime we can give back to Miami, create opportunities and show the world what we're about, it's a true blessing," said Pitbull.

Pitbull went from passing out his own CDs on Calle Ocho to dominating the charts worldwide. He’s collaborated with many artists over the years and still has a few he’d like to work with.

"I would say Jay-Z  and his wife Beyonce, we still haven't had the chance to do something with Rihanna. There's a lot of folks that are coming up in the game, the music industry is pretty simple you're here today and you're gone today. A lot of them make it, but not a lot know how to maintain it," said Mr. Worldwide.

While the NFL won’t announce the halftime performer for the big game in Miami next year, Miamians hope Mr. 305 is the halftime show.

"Well there's been a lot of talks about it and nothing has been confirmed as of now but yes its circulating, let's put it that way. I want to say thank you to Miami for putting a petition together and getting behind Mr. 305 and letting the world know that it just doesn't make sense to have a half time show in Miami without Mr.305," said Pitbull.
